4. Transfer of Data to Non-EU Countries
In addition to the points outlined in "Disclosure of Your Personal Data," the following applies:
Recipients of personal data may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA)/UK. If personal data is transferred to locations outside the EEA/UK, we will ensure that your privacy rights are protected, either because the European Commission has deemed the country to have an adequate level of protection (Article 45 GDPR), or the transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses), unless GDPR provides an exemption (Article 49 GDPR). We may also implement additional measures with recipients if necessary to ensure adequate data protection. Copies of the safeguards (where applicable) and a list of recipients outside the EEA/UK can be requested, though they may be redacted to protect business secrets or other confidential information.
II. When You Enter into a Search or Marketing Agreement, Request an Exposé, or Commission Us with a Property Valuation
1. Data We Process from You

2. Purpose of Processing and Legal Basis
We process this personal data for:
Fulfillment of contractual or pre-contractual obligations, including billing and credit checks (Legal basis: Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR for contract fulfillment and Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR for credit checks and debt protection).
Compliance with legal obligations, particularly in relation to anti-money laundering laws (Legal basis: Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR).
Providing marketing information about properties marketed by us or other Engel & Völkers license partners (Legal basis: Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR for legitimate interest in direct marketing; also based on consent where required for communication by email, fax, or phone as per Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
When consent serves as the legal basis, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the legality of prior processing. Where the legal basis is legitimate interest, you may object at any time for reasons specific to your situation (Article 21 GDPR).
3. Disclosure of Data
If your request involves offers from other Engel & Völkers license partners, we forward your data to the relevant Engel & Völkers company after obtaining your consent.
As part of a contract, personal data may be shared with contractual partners (e.g., property owners, tenants, clients) and service providers (e.g., notaries, lawyers, property managers, developers), as well as for credit checks or to authorities (e.g., anti-money laundering documentation). We may also share data with third parties, as legally permitted, to meet legal obligations or protect our rights (e.g., tax office, law enforcement agencies, courts).
Personal data is also shared with employees and independent contractors, as well as external service providers (e.g., IT service providers, hosting providers) to whom we outsource data processing under a service agreement.
4. Transfer of Data to Non-EU Countries
In addition to the "Disclosure of Your Personal Data" section, the following applies:
Recipients of personal data may be located outside the EEA/UK. If personal data is transferred to locations outside the EEA/UK, we will ensure that your privacy rights are protected, either because the European Commission has deemed the country to have an adequate level of protection (Article 45 GDPR) or the transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses), unless GDPR provides an exemption (Article 49 GDPR). We may also implement additional measures with recipients if necessary to ensure adequate data protection. If we work with another license partner to find a property for you, your data will only be transferred based on your prior consent. Please note that both we, as your initial contact, and the receiving Engel & Völkers license partner process your personal data independently. Each entity—us and the license partner—is responsible for its own data processing. We and the other license partner do not have mutual access to each other’s data and do not process your data jointly. If you wish to exercise your data subject rights, please first determine whether to address your request to us or the other Engel & Völkers license partner who also holds your data.

2. Purpose of Processing and Legal Basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
Assessing your application for a possible employment relationship within our company (Legal Basis: Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG, applicable within the jurisdiction of Germany).

With your prior consent, notifying you about relevant job opportunities (Legal Basis: Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
If processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing. Where processing is based on our legitimate interest, you may object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons specific to your situation (Article 21 GDPR).
We require your personal data to achieve the above purposes. You may choose not to provide personal data; however, this may prevent you from participating in the application process.
3. Disclosure of Data
We only disclose your personal data to third parties if required to fulfill a contract, if we or a third party has a legitimate interest, if there is a legal obligation, or if you have given your consent. Where data is disclosed based on legitimate interest, this is explained in this privacy policy.
4. Transfer of Data to Non-EU Countries
In addition to the "Disclosure of Your Personal Data" section above, please note:
Recipients of personal data may be located outside the EEA/UK. If data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we will ensure that your privacy rights are protected, either due to a European Commission adequacy decision (Article 45 GDPR) or appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses), unless GDPR provides an exemption (Article 49 GDPR). We may also implement additional measures with recipients if necessary to ensure data protection. You can request copies of the safeguards (where applicable) and a list of recipients outside the EEA/UK, which may be redacted to protect business secrets or other confidential information.
