Affoltern is a district in the north of the city of Zurich and was incorporated in 1934. It belongs to urban district 11, which also includes the Oerlikon and Seebach districts. Affoltern is a multifaceted district that has both urban and rural characteristics and plays an important role in the development of Zurich.
