The family-friendly ski area in Eischoll with a total of 15 km of slopes offers something for all winter sports enthusiasts. The pistes are not overcrowded, so that you can still experience pure skiing fun here. 
The ski run to the village is open all winter.  At the bottom station of the chair lift you also benefit from free parking.

The valley stations of the Sunnegga and Gornergrat railway as well as the train station are about a 15-minute walk away, and shops and restaurants are easily accessible on foot. St. Niklaus is located in the Nikolaital at 1'120 m above sea level and is probably the longest village in the Upper Valais, as there are about 7.5 km between the first house in the Sälli and the last residential building in Breitmatten. Probably the best known are the hiking trail to Alp Jungen, which can also be reached by cable car, and the Europaweg, which leads from Gasenried to Zermatt. But mountain bikers don't miss out either: a total of 13 tours are available from St. Niklaus.
