Lermoos is one of the oldest towns in the Ausserfern and is the second largest town in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. At 1004 m above sea level A. Located at the foot of the Grubistein (2,233 m), you have the most beautiful view of the Wetterstein massif, the neighboring town of Ehrwald, and the Zugspitze. The town, currently with 1,146 inhabitants, is located on the western edge of the basin landscape of the Lermooser Moos, through which the Loisach flows, a former swamp landscape between the Lechtal Alps, the Ammergau Alps and the Wetterstein Mountains. As early as the first century, a Roman road, the Via Augusta, led through today's municipal area. The Grubigstein is Lermoos' own ski area, opposite the Ehrwald ski area with the Zugspitze. Lermoos has a very good infrastructure and all the amenities you need to live, even has its own train station and is therefore perfectly connected and accessible by train with the surrounding regions.
