Ellmau: Location and surroundings of this property

At the foot of the steeply towering rocks of the Wilder Kaiser is Ellmau. The village gives its name to the highest peak in the mountain range, the Ellmauer Halt with an altitude of 2344 metres. The municipality of Ellmaus extends in Sölland in a broad valley area between the mountains of the Wilder Kaiser in the north and the Hartkaiser in the south. Ellmau is located just under 20 kilometres from the district capital Kufstein and around 20 kilometres from Kitzbühel. It is the unmistakable mountain peaks of the Wilder Kaiser that cast a spell over you here. Together with the mountain range the Zahmer Kaiser further north, the Wilder Kaiser forms the Kaiser forms the Kaiser Mountains nature reserve. Ellmau and its surrounding area is a particularly hiking paradise in summer. In winter, the slopes in the south of Ellmau are transformed into the largest interconnected ski area in Austria. The Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental is a ski area of superlatives and has received several awards. For skiers and snowboarders there is nothing left to be desired. Night skiing takes place regularly. Cross-country skiers look forward to the Kaiserloipe Ellmau and countless other kilometres of groomed cross-country ski trail. Tobogganing by day and night in Ellmau and the surrounding area is also a popular winter leisure activity for tourists and locals winter leisure activity. Ellmau is a real insider tip for all golfers. On the northern the northern edge of the village is the Wilder Kaiser golf course, a 27-hole course right at the foot of the striking mountain range.
