About the location Carrapateira is a tranquil village, in the heart of the "Costa Vicentina" National Park, next to Aljezur, on the west coast of the Algarve. Away from mass tourism this area is most searched by nature lovers. The coast here is wild with copper colored and ash-grey cliffs under creamy wide sand.The nearby beaches are a popular surfing destination. The SouthWest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park is the finest preserved stretch of European coastline. The beaches are highly popular amongst surfers, and are the finest in the country.
