Guimaraes: Location and surroundings of this property

The old parish of Costa in Guimarães has a history prior to the founding of the nationality, with traces of occupation dating back to the Bronze Age. However, it is from the 16th century onwards, with the foundation on previous temples (7th century), of the Monastery of Santa Marinha da Costa (current luxury inn), under the jurisdiction of the monks of the order of São Jerónimo, that the parish has seen extensive development and occupation.
