Land with potential for organic farming
- 35,040 m² Plot surface
Description
Rustic land of about 35,040 m2 recently dedicated to organic farming. Until 2018, it consisted mainly of carob, almond and some olive trees. Then a project was developed to do organic farming, planting about 500 citrus trees, 150 avocado trees and 50 olive trees. About 5,000 m2 were used for the production of intensive outdoor horticulture, with a small covered area of 400 m2. The property has a drip irrigation system, with the main connections buried, which can be used, although repairs and adaptation to a water source will probably be required. The current owners are working with the APA (Portuguese Environmental Agency) to obtain permission to drill a water extraction well to allow irrigation of the plants and water on the property. Some plants are weak or need to be re-grafted. The plot has virtually no shade and enjoys 3,000 hours of sunshine per year, during which vegetation production can reach its maximum potential. The plot is 50% surrounded by a footpath, facilitating access to different parts of the property. There are various options, such as agricultural activities with photovoltaic energy production and the possibility of connecting to the medium voltage grid that runs across the plot. The property is also integrated into the RAN (National Agricultural Reserve). For more information or to arrange a viewing appointment, please feel free to contact us.
