Heemstede
Heemstede is a medium-sized village in Kennemerland and a fine place to live. Heemstede has several beautiful residential areas with charming 1930s houses and villas, good elementary school, numerous sports facilities and a particularly nice shopping center with various quality stores and restaurants. The mall was voted the nicest shopping street of the Netherlands in 2013! Also in the field of recreation you will not lack anything here. The Groenendaal walking forest with children's playground and petting zoo is a popular attraction for many. The center of Haarlem and the beach are easily accessible by bike.
Haarlem
Haarlem, the capital of North Holland, is a particularly pleasant city with a beautiful historic center. The city is characterized by The Grote Markt, in the middle of the shopping area, with its many stores and terraces as well as the river Het Spaarne which flows through the center and where in the summer many boat owners like to do a 'round of Haarlem'. The many historic courtyards, various museums such as the famous Frans Hals museum and the Teylers museum are particularly popular. Haarlem is also very versatile in culinary terms. Numerous restaurants and nice bars can be found in the city center. The Haarlem train station has fast connections to Heemstede, Zandvoort and Amsterdam city center.
Beach
Who wouldn't want to live near the beach? The beaches of Zandvoort and Bloemendaal are easily accessible from all communities within Kennemerland. On the wide sandy beaches of Zandvoort and Bloemendaal you will find many trendy beach tents and beach bars. The racing circuit of Zandvoort is located near the center and in May 2020 Formula 1 will race here again after 35 years!

Aerdenhout

Overveen
Central living in Kennemerland is almost impossible. Overveen is a beautiful village in the municipality of Bloemendaal, near Haarlem, on the edge of the rolling dune landscape of National Park Zuid-Kennemerland with its own train station where direct connections take you to Haarlem and Zandvoort in no time. Schools, sports facilities, beach and dunes are in the immediate vicinity. For daily shopping, specialty stores and restaurants you can go "around the corner" so to speak. The cozy center of Bloemendaal is also within walking distance.
