These houseboats offer a surprising amount of space and comfort because of their smart layout, unique construction, large sliding doors and two terraces at the front and rear. Their design shows a passion for the outdoors, featuring wood and other natural materials to blend beautifully into nature. They have been built to be completely sustainable and self-sufficient. It’s a true home on the water! Layout and description of the houseboat Surla 15 is 15 meters long and has two bedrooms. It is the largest houseboat in the fleet and comfortably accommodates 4 to 6 people. The base consists of a frame of galvanized steel, stainless steel or aluminum, executed with catamaran floats and with a cellar compartment. The front part of the floats are slanted for maximum maneuverability while sailing. The houseboat has a living area of over 51 m². The roof is suitable for a roof terrace of 24 m². The lounge boasts an open kitchen, providing beautiful views over the water to the outside through three large sliding doors. All around there is a gangway about 50 cm wide. On both sides there is a terrace: the front terrace of 14 m² and the rear terrace which has an outdoor shower. The open kitchen is part of the living room, where you can relax comfortably and enjoy an unobstructed view. There are two pleasant bedrooms, each with ample space for a double bed. There is also an additional room which can be furnished with a bunk bed or used as a study, for example. The layout can be adapted to your own wishes. The modern bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. Use and accessibility It is possible to dock the houseboat in a harbor or quay. It can also be moored almost anywhere on the water by means of a system of spud poles (wooden anchor poles which fix themselves in the ground). This is what complete freedom feels like!
