How to successfully pass an interview: tips and strategies

If you are looking for a new profession or trying to enter the (difficult) world of work, you will have to deal with the so-called recruiter. This figure has the task of searching for and selecting the most suitable candidates for mid- and high-level positions within organisations and companies. By extension, we often refer to recruiters by this term, regardless of the job profiles they are looking for.
Each of us represents a personality in itself and the job interview serves to make others understand why you are there, what skills you possess and what kind of ambition drives you, highlighting your strengths and weaknesses. In other words, why you should be chosen for the position sought. Times are tough, this is clear to everyone, but presenting yourself in a certain way rather than another makes a difference, all the more so when the competition is

- Humility: it is important to show humility and a willingness to learn (always, at any age and with any level of education), be open-minded and positive.

- Standing: maintain eye contact, with a high, direct gaze, speak calmly. Pay attention to the dress code, which must respect the work context. These are characteristics that denote self-confidence and empathy at the same time.

- Curiosity: contrary to what you might think, successful people never stop being curious or learning. Successful personalities never stop improving themselves, exploring new possibilities and proving themselves to be quick-witted and curious.

- Do 'tactical intelligence': learn about the company and its corporate identity. In this way you will touch the 'right chords' during the interview.

- Respect the professionalism of others: if you have been contacted by a head hunter for an acquaintance meeting, but the position you are being offered is not of interest to you, have a chat anyway: you can bring out your expectations and interests, and one day this may prove useful. Even if the interview did not satisfy you, maintain the formality appropriate to the circumstances that will still benefit your reputation.
