Passopisciaro is a hamlet of Castiglione di Sicilia, a small town of about 4,000 inhabitants in the province of Catania, inserted in the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy. We are on the north side of Etna, in an area of the millennial wine tradition: the history of the Etna wine dates back to the Greek colonization of Eastern Sicily, around 729 BC. Over the last 20 years, a renaissance of the Etna territory has taken place, with the emergence of companies, the planting of new vineyards, the achievement of awards and acknowledgments to bear witness to the quality of the Etna products. Local wine growers and investors from all over Italy and abroad have believed the potential of these places and the magic of the Etna, to make it a small Burgundy. Contrada Santo Spirito is about 700 meters above sea level and is one of the most lively areas of Etna. The incredible position of the vineyards not only affects the quality, but also gives a unique and evocative landscape.
