Assisi: Location and surroundings of this property

Armenzano is located in the Monte Subasio Regional Park, on the eastern flank of Monte Subasio, 8 km east from Assisi. It has excellent exposure towards east, south and west, with views of the surrounding mountains and hills. The historic village is one of the rare examples where there is an almost total absence of light pollution, making it an ideal area for astronomical observation, but it is also of interest to those who enjoy walking along the numerous paths and trails immersed in nature between old mills, Roman bridges, medieval bridges, feeling the flow of water from the Tescio river and small waterfalls with natural pools. At Christmas time in Armenzano and its alleys, a 'Presepe vivente' is performed, very suggestive and appreciated by the umbrians. All services can be found in Assisi. A few km from Armenzano there is a major road leading to the motorway both north and south. In Assisi there is a railway station connected to the main Italian cities. The Perugia airport, 'San Francesco di Assisi', is 25 minutes away by car from Armenzano. Rome and Florence can be reached by car in about 2 hours.
