Historic building in the Land of Murals

In the Alcantara valley, just a few kilometres from the sea and Taormina, this elegant late 19th-century period palace is nestled in the most historic part of the municipality of Graniti, a small town with a medieval flavour better known as the Land of Murals. The palace overlooks the main street and the recent renovation has highlighted its architectural beauty, including the limestone base and decorations that contrast with the blue of the façade and the elegant wrought-iron parapet, the work of ancient local craftsmen. The interiors have been entirely recovered and, while maintaining the original layout of the past, have been converted into spacious and bright rooms in which the ancient flavour blends perfectly with the most modern comfort. In fact, the intervention also involved the replacement of the air conditioning systems and the installation of a photovoltaic system to improve the building's energy efficiency. On the ground floor is mainly the living area, consisting of a large dining room with fireplace and overlooking the rear garden, a separate kitchen and two bedrooms with en suite bathroom. The upper floor is entirely dedicated to the sleeping area, which is accessed by means of a wide and elegant internal staircase; here there are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and two different views, the first of which overlooks the main course and the second the rear garden. The terrace and the garden are the real strong points of the property, comfortable outdoor spaces to enjoy the summer and the mild climate.
