Castiglion d'Orcia is a medieval village located on the ridge that from Bagno Vignoni rises towards Monte Amiata with a breathtaking view of the Val d'Orcia. It is easily reachable by following the Cassia which goes from Siena to Rome. A few kilometres away are the towns with a rich artistic heritage of San Quirico, Pienza and Montepulciano and the spa resorts of Bagno Vignoni, Chianciano Terme, Bagni San Filippo and San Casciano dei Bagni. The food and wine panorama is world-famous: Montalcino known for the famous Brunello is located about twenty minutes by car, on the road that leads to the Tyrrhenian coast.
