Laveno-Mombello: Location and surroundings of this property

Laveno lies along the Lombard shore of Lago Maggiore and is a very important touristic centre. Laveno encompasses several timeless landscapes: we are in the North of Italy but the climate is Mediterranean and the view spaces from the stretch of water to mountain peaks. The tourist port is very important, through which the ferry service connects Laveno to Intra, on the Piedmontese side. Today the town centre offers a beautiful walk on the lakeside, with arcade buildings and pedestrian paths. The vitality of the town does not fail to offer ideas for shopping. Also, Laveno was an important production centre of ceramics and porcelain, one of the largest in Italy and Europe. The historic centre hosts the beautiful Villa De Angeli Frua, famous for its renowned botanical park.
