Set amidst the painted hills of Mombaruzzo, an iconic village in the Unesco heart of Alto Monferrato, not far from the prestigious Nizza Monferrato, this romantic, charming agritourism has everything one could dream of for those wishing to devote themselves to accommodation and organic wine-making. The property consists of two buildings, the typical historic Monferrato farmhouse with adjoining vinification cellar and farm equipment portico, and the recently built bio-building farmhouse, which houses the restaurant, kitchen, tasting room, barrel cellar and wine-packing warehouse, as well as a large and scenic dehor overlooking the vineyards and the open view of the hills, to be enjoyed in fine weather. Certified organic since 1998, with a fundamentally biodynamic farming imprint, the agriturismo has about 7.5 hectares of land, at medium altitude and with a slight slope, of which about 4 are planted with vines in a single body embracing the two buildings. The remaining land is arable land and woodland. The vines cultivated are: Nizza Docg, Barbera d'Asti Docg, Freisa, Pinot Noir, Bronner, with an annual production of about 22-24,000 bottles, which can be increased by 50% within four years. The winery has equipment for vinifying both white and red wines. In addition to the 10 steel tanks, it has Tuscan terracotta amphorae for dedicated vinification, in which the winery is distinguishing itself internationally. The farmhouse, with its well-preserved rustic appearance, is divided into two independent units with separate access, but with a common courtyard and garden. The smaller part, on 2 levels, is completely restored and is currently inhabited by the owner; the remaining part is only externally restored (including the roof), but internally is unfinished, thus offering great potential for versatility depending on requirements: holiday home, bed and breakfast, manor house, guesthouse use.
