Description
Castles in the Middle Ages were the scene of historic events. Through their rooms, opulent and sumptuously embellished, passed the destinies of cities and noble commanders. Among these, in Trescore there is one in particular that has seen much of Bergamo's history unfold in its rooms. It is the Castello della Aminella, placidly perched on the green hills that welcome visitors arriving from Bergamo. Its importance is closely linked to the family that inhabited it for a long time, the Lanzi family, which together with the Suardi family was, for at least two centuries, the most powerful Ghibelline family in our land. Today, Aminella appears as a sumptuous mansion surrounded by nature. A wonderful villa with large rooms in the middle of a large park, but still hiding in its structure the 'form' of the fortification it once was. We offer for sale the central and noblest part of this castle; a large detached portion of approximately 560 square metres with a garden for exclusive use of 600 square metres. A beautiful house that, despite the adaptations it has undergone over the years, in the rooms that now shine thanks to the stylish finishes, the terracotta floors and the original stone walls, still shows all its soul of an ancient noble fortified residence. Through a splendid private portico we enter the ground floor with entrance hall, ante-bathroom and service bathroom on the floor. On the left side large kitchen with splendid view of the exclusive garden, dining room with vaulted ceilings, stone fireplace and stove. Followed by two large living rooms with frescoed ceilings and period fireplaces. All the rooms overlook the porch on one side and the garden on the other. A spiral staircase of great stylistic merit leads to the upper floor where a wide corridor leads to the three double bedrooms with walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. A fourth room is used today as an ironing and laundry room. The second and top floor, with original exposed wooden beams, is as large as the floor below. Once used as servants' quarters, today it could accommodate both another living room and other bedrooms, as well as a separate and independent flat. This is completed by four garages, a large cellar and a historic condominium park with views over the hills and the plain.
