Piazzogna: Location and surroundings of this property

Piazzogna is a typical Ticino village in the hilly Gambarogno region and the starting point for numerous hikes in the surrounding mountains. Situated on one of the many natural terraces reflected in the lake, it enjoys a splendid view of the Maggia delta, the Verzasca Valley, Locarno and Ascona. The village lies 365 metres above sea level and has about 400 inhabitants. Among the region’s many attractions are the famous “Eisenhut” botanical garden and the mountain village of Indemini. A few minutes’ drive away are many small beaches for relaxing and swimming in Lake Maggiore.
