Our front door passes unnoticed, far from the tourist steps. We climb the modern stairs to the second floor and open the door to our flat. A corridor, already illuminated by the natural light coming from the windows of the rooms, welcomes us. Turning immediately to the right, we arrive in the modern master bedroom, made up of fashionable tones and contemporary materials that play with each other and with the notable fine furnishings typical of Venetian homes, clearly visible in the Rezzonico chandelier and the antique silver candlestick. The view gives us a glimpse of the campiello below: the double glazing and the height ensure quiet nights. Just before the bedroom we find the flat's only bathroom, also completely renovated in modern colours. The single room has a hideaway bed and a desk: perfect both as a bedroom and as a study. Here too a Rezzonico illuminates the room in the evening hours, contrasting the dove-grey of the walls and the elegant wooden beams alternating with iron buttresses. The living room is the jewel in the flat's crown: bright and angular, it offers different perspectives on the canal below. Light is the dominant element that accompanies us every step of the way on the original Venetian floor.
