There are some dwellings which extend a strong, authentic soul, describing tangibly an important, prestigious past. Villa Teresita built in 1888 by the Milanese engineer Luigi Luvoni represents perfectly this period. Its architecture come from the inspiration of the famous architect Luigi Boffi boasting original, unusual lines, with no references to any scheme, yet a skilful combination of styles and shapes. Villa Teresita, as of today still shows the plaque at the entrance gate, owing its name to that of the daughter of the owner, who conceived its construction. Note that this is the only historic villa in Stresa which has never changed ownership since the beginning. The villa is located in the heart of Stresa, the pearl of Lago Maggiore, 50km from the international Malpensa airport, 90km from Milan, to which there are direct rail connections every day, and lies in close proximity to Alpino and Des Iles golf clubs. Today Villa Teresita, although requiring renovation, is in Lago Maggiore an icon of style and great charm, where you can still breathe the true elegance and atmosphere "fin di siècle" that the eclectic engineer managed to create and that which thanks to the family have managed to guard with loving care.
