Luni: Location and surroundings of this property

The municipal territory of the City of Luni is located at the foot of the Apuan Alps, in the extreme offshoot of the Eastern Riviera, near the border with the Tuscany region. Its name is a synthesis of a history that has its roots very far away and that opens the doors to Lunigiana: a land of castles and historical routes. We are, in fact, at a crossroads of ancient roads: the most significant is the consular Aurelia. The locality of Luni Scavi hosts the ruins of the Roman city of Lunae founded in 177 BC. C. The sea that was so important for the development of the ancient Portus Lunae is more distant today. The closest beaches are those of Marinella, a hamlet of Sarzana.
