Marciana: Location and surroundings of this property

The territory of Marciana covers the hillsides of Monte Capanne and is located in the northwestern part of Isola d’Elba. It is a mountainous area, characterized by blooming and unpolluted nature that tends to become less present when going towards the sea until a plain where there are amazing beaches such as Sant’Andrea and Procchio. Thanks to these elevations that are very common in this area, you can feel less of the summery heat wave, whereas close to the rocky coastline, you can feel the sea breeze. When visiting Marciana you can experience an “ancient” lifestyle: slow and very relaxed pace, without any stress, totally in harmony with the surrounding nature. This has contributed to the achieving of the record of longevity on the island. Tourism is undoubtedly the most relevant local source of income, thanks to the many beautiful beaches in the area: those more wild and unpolluted, located on western part of the area, in front of the island Corse such as Chiessi, Patresi, Zanca and Sant’Andrea, or those more accessible and equipped that are located in the Gulf of Procchio.
