Description
We reach this property at the famous Palazzo Mocenigo, a historic building in St Mark's, on the second piano nobile. The location feels like a tribune to be able to watch the traditional Regata Storica from the front row, but also to be able to enjoy an incredible view of one of the most beautiful views in all of Venice, ranging from the Rialto Bridge to the façade of Ca' Foscari. We appreciate the fact that the palace's main entrance is in a very quiet location, protected from the pedestrian flow, in the elegant San Samuele area. Once through the entrance door we enter the hallway that extends from the garden to the water gate, from where we can take a convenient lift up to the second floor. Entering the flat we are greeted by a large living room from which to admire the magnificent Grand Canal, followed by an eat-in kitchen, a large full bathroom and a bedroom. Going up to the mezzanine floor we find a comfortable bedroom with a second bathroom. Every detail of the flat leads back to the history of Venice: from the interior heights, to the typical terrazzo floor; from the overlooks, to the commemorative marbles on the façade that almost put us in awe, reminding us that the Palazzo has hosted illustrious personalities such as Giordano Bruno, Thomas Moore, Lord Byron and various members of the House of Savoy.
