In progressA few kilometres from the centre of Misano Monte or La Cella, on Via Castellaro, one of the main streets of the Misano hills, rich in villas and enhanced by a panoramic view of the sea and the hinterland. Misano Adriatico spreads among green hills over an area of 2,243 hectares between the Adriatic coastline to the northeast, the course of the Conca river to the southeast that separates it from Cattolica and San Giovanni in Marignano, the territory of San Clemente and Coriano to the southwest and the territory of Riccione to the northwest. From the latter municipality it is separated by watercourses such as the Raibano ditch, the Fossa and the Alberello stream (whose tributaries are the Gorguccia stream and the Fossetto stream), which has its source in the hamlet of Scacciano. The Misano territory is strongly rooted in the hinterland where there are ample green spaces and a natural oasis on the Conca river. Heights above sea level vary from a minimum of 1 metre to a maximum of 167 metres near Mount Annibolina for an average height of 49 metres. The oldest built-up area, located in Misano Monte, is at a height of 97 metres above sea level and is also home to the church of Misano's patron saint, San Biagio. The latter centre is located in a panoramic position on a hill carved out to the north by the Pancione brook and to the south by the Pozzetto brook, brooks that flow to the left of the more important Agina brook that flows into the Adriatic Sea and bisects the municipal territory.
