Matrei has a beautiful town center with a row of houses straight out of a picture book. Gastronomy, bakers, confectioners, butchers and many small shops can be found there. The distance to Innsbruck via the A13 is approx. 20 minutes, the Brenner Pass with its Italian flair is also approx. 10 minutes by car via the A13.
