The metropolitan city of Messina is an Italian municipality of about 250,000 inhabitants, and is located in the north-eastern tip of Sicily, overlooking the western coast of the Strait of the same name - a strip of sea just three kilometers long - that separates the Sicilian city from the Calabrian coast and the rest of the Peninsula. The property is located between the northern area and the city center, on viale della Libertà, one of Messina's most fashionable residential areas, because it represents the right geographical compromise between the northern suburbs and the chaotic city center, and also because it overlooks the sea and accommodates the city's tramway line, making it convenient to move around without using a car.
