It is located on the northern Sicilian coast, about 70 km from Palermo, at the foot of a rocky promontory. It is one of the major seaside resorts in the whole province; despite its size, it attracts millions of tourists every year. In the summer period the population even triples, making the main squares and the most important streets of the town crowded. The town, which is part of the Madonie Park, and is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The city is dominated by a height of 270 meters with a particular profile in the shape of a head, which falls sheer into the sea, while, on the internal side, it overlooks the city center, gently descending into a grassy slope. Cefalù has a picturesque marina, from which you can observe the characteristic sea front of the walled city, with the arches that shelter the boats. The climate, typically Mediterranean, enjoys dry and hot summers, mitigated by the wind, and mild and moderately rainy winters. Cefalù is a tourist resort of great interest, hosting numerous hotels and holiday homes, and is characterized by typical Sicilian specialty restaurants that frame the streets of the historic center, full of souvenir shops, local crafts and small antiques.
