It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its landscape and Barbera wine since 2014, of which is the unquestioned capital. "Nizza è Barbera" is the title of the annual cultural, food and wine event held every year in May, during which, the protagonist is precisely the Barbera d'Asti DOCG, the local wine that has so much fame in Italy and in the world. Barbera is also the source of the fine Nizza DOCG, a wine made from 100% Barbera and aged for a minimum of 18 months. Nizza is a small town on a human scale, immersed in marvellous hills and ancient churches, nature trails and delicacies, where even the rows of vines frame sculptures and open-air installations. Its beautiful historic centre, medieval in the oldest part, is triangular in shape with districts all in a straight line and has a wealth of historic buildings of considerable value. Its extraordinary land reflects not only on its wines, but also on the local gastronomic offer, which is equally rich and heterogeneous: from fine meats to handmade pasta, to excellent cheeses, tome and robiole, and delicious typical desserts. A terroir rich in history and tradition, kept 'secret' for so long, now finally waiting to be discovered and on which to make an excellent investment for the future.
