San Siro is a picturesque municipality located on the western shore of Lake Como, bordering the renowned town of Menaggio. The municipality stretches along the lakeshore and comprises several hamlets, including Santa Maria, Acquaseria, and Rezzonico. The village is known for its panoramic position with spectacular views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. One of the most important cultural attractions is the Rezzonico Castle, a well-preserved medieval fortress built in the 13th century that stands on the hill, and the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, known for its frescoes and sacred artwork. The lake offers water sports enthusiasts many opportunities for recreation, while the hinterland is ideal for long walks, hikes and bike rides with panoramic views of the lake. The provincial capital Como can be reached by car in about 70 minutes (approx. 49 km), the city of Lecco in about one hour (approx. 60 km). The Lake Como shipping company offers convenient year-round connections to other picturesque locations on the lake, such as the famous town of Bellagio. Milan and the airports of Malpensa and Linate can be reached in approximately one hour and 45 minutes by car, the Swiss city of Lugano in one hour (approx. 40 km). Commission details
The property brokerage engagement with “Finest Italian Estates S.r.l.” (affiliate of Engel & Völkers Italia S.r.l.) is governed by a specific agreement and pertinent clauses. The consideration (commission) payable by the Buyer/Tenant for our services, plus VAT at the legal rate, is 5% of the sale price of a property or 15% of a yearly rent.
