In a calle (‘street’) that starts at campo Sant'Anzolo, we get more and more lost, and with us the murmur of footsteps that becomes more and more distant, until we come to a calle with a dock, directly on the Grand Canal. The only noise is its wave motion. An impressive main door announces the importance of what we are about to visit: Venetian history was also written here, we immediately notice it from the private inner courtyard, with pertinent vera da pozzo. We enter the covered and closed atrium: on the other side the entrance from Canal Grande awaits us. Two marble lions look at us, seeming to turn around, intrigued by our presence as we wait for the lift. We ascend to the third floor. The main floor welcomes us in a cross between two corridors, we turn right towards the living room, bright and light with its high domed ceilings at the corners. We exit through the second entrance and arrive in a dining room, from which we access the kitchen, which is fully equipped and can be separated. We exit, again using the second access, and find ourselves in the corridor, destination the sleeping area. We find the first double bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, while continuing along the corridor we find the laundry room with small bedroom and service bathroom, as well as a washing machine and dryer. We continue along the last section of the corridor to the master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, and another bathroom communicating with a further single bedroom. We turn back to the living room to admire the privileged view of the Grand Canal from its Venetian-style balconies. That's not enough for us and we take the staircase upstairs: the silence of Venice from above acts as a background as we admire the Grand Canal and the view of the ‘paron de casa’ from the exclusive roof terrace.
