Bodio: Location and surroundings of this property

Bodio Lomnago is an Italian town in the Province of Varese in the Lombardy Region. Its inhabitants are called bodiesi. The municipality covers an area of 4.5 km2 and has 2 217 inhabitants. In the proximity of the municipalities of Inarzo, Cazzago Brabbia and Galliate Lombardo, Bodio Lomnago is located 7 km south-west of Varese, the largest city in the surroundings. The town of Bodio Lomnago has ancient origins, from a predominantly agricultural economy linked to the activity of fishing on the lake has passed in recent decades to an active industrial development, also modifying its appearance that from that of a rural village has become that of a municipality of some importance. Its territory unfolds, significantly supporting the altimetric variations, along the plain of the lake and the surrounding hilly area. The inhabited area is affected by a strong building expansion that has mainly concerned the area of the small plain that leads to the lake in recent years. The centre of the provincial capital, Varese, and the motorway to Milan are 10 km away, while Malpensa international airport is 23 km away. The Swiss border can be easily reached by covering 20 km. By completing 10 km you reach the coast of Lake Maggiore.
