Caronno Pertusella is a town of about 18,000 inhabitants in the province of Varese, in Lombardy and it’s part of the metropolitan area of Milan. In the past, here passed the way Mediolanum-Bilitio, which put in communication Mediolanum (Milan) with Luganum (Lugano) through Varisium (Varese). In addition to the two centers, Caronno and Pertusella, no longer physically separated by the uniformity reached by the agglomeration, there is also the town of Bariola. In the first twenty years of the third millennium the municipality has recorded an increase of the resident population of 15%, because of the progressive removal from the center of Milan and from the neighboring municipalities of many inhabitants, in search of less cemented zones and with a lower cost of the properties, without however moving too much from the metropolitan area. In the town is located the train station of Caronno Pertusella, from which it’s possible to reach Milan and Lodi.
