The property is only a five-minute walk from Piazza Umberto Primo, the heart of Avola's historic centre. The location is excellent as it is close to Avola train station and right in front of the house there are bus stops for Syracuse and Catania airport, as well as for Noto, Ragusa and Modica. Avola is set in an extraordinary landscape context since it lies between the Ionian Sea and the Iblei mountains, i.e., between a coastline with warm, fine, golden sand and the coolness and scents of the hills that surround it to the north-west. The Almond of Avola, with its perfect oval shape, and the Nero d'Avola, originating from the ancient vine of the same name, are famous throughout the world for their unmistakable flavours. Rich in historical, artistic and scenic beauty, Avola extends along the coast, along one of the oldest Greek routes in Sicily: the Via Elorina, in the area south of Syracuse, which is only 28 km away. Strategically located and very well connected, from Avola it is possible to reach in a short time many of the most renowned sites on the east coast and the hinterland of south-eastern Sicily: from the baroque cities of the Val di Noto, to the reserves of Pantalica and Cassibile. The motorway exit also makes it well connected to Catania airport.
