The location is convenient to the crossroads between the Padua-Castelfranco Veneto and Venice-Vicenza lines. In just 3 minutes, by car, one can reach the road SR 308, which allows reaching Padua in 25 minutes. The Roman origin of Camposampiero is clear, although there are no traces or written documents concerning the original settlement. This latter one, developed in an area occupied by a centurial network, known as the Graticolato or grid street plan, due to the design in checkerboard imprinted in the territory by the road system, was crossed by the Via Aurelia, north of Padua. Over the years, numerous archaeological findings have confirmed this origin. However, it was only in the Middle Ages, after the Benedictine reconquest of the agricultural territory, that the town centre developed. The town of Camposampiero is closely linked to the turbulent events that occurred in the Middle Ages and the struggles between the mighty of that time.
