Central heatingParabiago is a large municipality of 27,780 inhabitants located near Legnano on the right bank of the Olona River, some 20 kilometers northwest of the provincial capital along Sempione state road 33, known to all for its shoe-making tradition, and to connoisseurs because it is the home of the great cabinetmaker and inlayer Giuseppe Maggiolini (1738-1814). Prominent among the archaeological finds testifying to the antiquity of the settlement is the 4th-century "patera of Parabiago," now in the Milan Archaeological Museum. Architecturally, of particular interest are the 17th-century complex of the Marchiondi college and, from the following century, the parish church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio (heir to the medieval parish church), whose design is attributed to Pellegrino Tibaldi. The Carla Musazzi Historical Museum passionately traces local history. Part of the territory of this municipality falls within the Roccolo Park.
