Gavirate: Location and surroundings of this property

Lake Varese, located on the slopes of the Prealpi Varesine at an altitude of 238 m above sea level, is known for its unmistakable shoe shape. It has nine municipalities: Varese, Azzate, Bardello, Biandronno, Bodio Lomnago, Buguggiate, Galliate Lombardo, Cazzago Brabbia and Gavirate. The latter was for a long time the main municipality facing the lake, before the acquisition of a good part of the shores by the Municipality of Varese, so much so that the lake was known as Lago di Gavirate. Together with the lakes Maggiore, Comabbio, Lugano, Ganna, Ghirla and Monate it is part of the Seven Lakes of the province of Varese. The lake is also famous for having an excellent rowing competition field, a sport widely practiced in the province. Milan Malpensa and Lugano Agno airports are about 30 minutes away. The shores of Lake Maggiore can be reached in 20 minutes by car.
