Land with sea view in Etna DOC area
- 55,013 m² Plot surface
Description
On the Eastern side of Mount Etna, just ten kilometers from the coast and a few kilometers from Taormina, is this large former vineyard with lava stone ruins located and offers an amazing view and the possibility to enjoy privacy and tranquility. The property is located in Mascali at about 500 meters above the sea level and extends over an area of 5,5 hectares that descends towards the sea, interspersed with lava stone terraces exposed to East/ North-East that once housed expanses of vineyards with sapling planting. The plot is situated in the Etna Doc area and is mainly composed of a large portion of arable land - to be used for planting new vines - while the remaining surface is occupied by the forest. The ancient rural house stands in a dominant position, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, of about 220 square meters with cistern and terrace, from which it is possible to admire a spectacular view also over Taormina. What remains of the building are only the perimeter walls, but the property still preserves the late nineteenth century architectural features. The land is situated in a profitable region for wine production and particularly appreciated by the entrepreneurs of the sector, as evidenced by the numerous wineries scattered around the Ionic hilly area. In addition, the generous dimensions of the plot allow extending the covered surfaces, offering the possibility to convert part of the property into a receptive structure.
