Your haven on the Lake

We present a cozy home located in Ghiffa, a town that unravels from the shore of Lake Maggiore to the first hill. This property has been completely renovated, from a ruin it has been transformed into an icon of modernity and technology to become your retreat in the hills of Lake Maggiore. The state of this residence was completely compromised, so much so that as a first step, work was done on the structure and insulation against the ground. Subsequently, internal upgrading was carried out, choosing to place the sleeping area on the ground floor to enjoy the coolness during summer nights on the lake and the living area on the first floor to benefit from the light throughout the day thanks to the balcony overlooking the greenery. Two bathrooms, a technical room for photovoltaic for hot water storage with heat pump, a dry floor slab with wooden floor, and a skylight in the roof to amplify the entry of light were built. The intervention transformed a ruin, lacking any kind of energy efficiency, into a class A4 housing unit-an achievement that should be the norm in this historical period. Finally, the private space in front was also upgraded by creating a green space and some perennial essences, precisely with a view to very limited maintenance. Just a few meters from the shores of Lake Maggiore and 2 km from the vibrant city of Verbania, this real estate operation has led to a very significant economic enhancement.
