Description
Villa Capri is situated in Itri, a small town between Rome and Naples. The house was built around an abandoned steel concrete skeleton and is a mixture of contemporary architecture and classical lines, signed by Cherubino Gambardella and Simona Ottieri, two architects specialized in re-designing abandoned structures, transforming them into holiday homes in the style of Mediterranean classicism. The atmosphere is magical: the villa is located in a serene olive grove with sixty-year-old trees and ancient dry walls. A perfectly quiet place with no traffic noise or light smog, with a strategic position: shops, restaurants, bars and the Via Appia are only five minutes away and the famous beaches of Sperlonga can be reached in 15 minutes. Entering from automatic gate there is a panoramic yard with six parking spaces, and then the main entry: a modern sliding glass door, facing on a fancy external patio equipped with tables and chairs. When you enter the house, the large living room with sitting and eating area as well as the open kitchen allow for perfect panoramic views. There is a wall of windows that looks out on a big solarium and a beautiful infinity pool with views of all the coast. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms on the same level invite stopovers by family and friends. Upstairs the master bedroom with walk-in-closet, safe and en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi opens to the 75 m² roof terrace. On the swimming pool level there are two more bedrooms, one living room and a bathroom. The swimming-pool is surrounded by an extensive sundeck which includes two outdoor showers. Villa Capri is the perfect balance between contemporary architecture and art: every little detail has been studied to create an experience of beauty and functionality.
