Itri is an ancient Italian municipality of over 10,600 inhabitants and is located in the province of Latina, 170 m above sea level. This municipality enjoys a truly fantastic location: half of it lies in the middle of a valley at the foot of the Aurunci Mountains and the other half faces the sea. The coasts are rocky and jagged, such as that of Punta Cetarola, where there is the ancient Flacca beach, a characteristic pebble beach, located between Gaeta and Sperlonga, a beautiful little spot also known as 'doll beach'. Boat lovers define this one at Punta Cetarola as the most beautiful and suggestive cove of the entire Gaeta-Sperlonga coastline. The town of Itri not only enjoys rare beauty, but its environmental value has also been confirmed by the Ministry of the Environment, which has included it in the list of Natura 2000 sites, the European network of areas for the conservation of biodiversity. In addition to bordering Formia, Sperlonga and Gaeta, three of the most exclusive seaside resorts on the Latium coast, Itri is also a section of the Rome-Naples railway line, which can be reached in just over an hour.
