Nevertheless, the villa retains its aura of magnificence intact, waiting patiently for the moment when an enterprising soul will be able to restore it to its former glory. Over the past decades, the villa has undergone unfinished renovations. The entire complex, originally conceived as a self-sufficienthamlet, houseswarehouses, a winefactory, stables, a tobaccofactory, cottages for the settlers and townhouses. The surrounding countryside, with its farms, retains the centuries-old charm that has accompanied them since ancient times, offering a vast wealth of landscape that testifies to the history and intrinsic beauty of this location in northern Salento.
