Asolo: Location and surroundings of this property

Asolo è un centro agricolo e artigianale molto piccolo in provincia di Treviso e fa parte del Club dei Borghi più Belli d'Italia. Per la sua incantevole posizione panoramica tra le colline, dip anche dal Giorgione, Asolo ha sempre richiamato artisti e letterati da tutta Europa. Tra questi Giosuè Carducci, che la definì "la città dai cento orizzonti"; il poeta inglese Robert Browning; Pietro Bembo, uno dei più celebri puntini del Cinquecento; il musicista Gian Francesco Malipiero, che ha trovato ispirazione per alcune sue composizioni. Eleonora Duse, la celebre attrice e amante di Gabriele D'Annunzio, trascorse gli ultimi anni della sua vita in un elegante palazzetto e venne poi sepolta nel piccolo e suggestivo cimitero di Sant'Anna, di fronte al Monte Grappa. Simbolo di Asolo è la Rocca che domina il paesaggio dalla vetta del Monte Ricco, offerto una vista spettacolare. Da qui si scorge il centro storico della città: Piazza Garibaldi con la fontana cinquecentesca, il Castello, che ospita oggi il Teatro Duse, e l'antichissima Cattedrale, che custodisce al suo interno la bellissima "Assunta" di Lorenzo Lotto. Da visitare sono anche il Museo Civico, all'interno del quattrocentesco Palazzo della Ragione, la cinquecentesca Villa degli Armeni e la prestigiosa sede del Comune, Palazzo Beltramini. Appena fuori il centro cittadino, gli amanti del golf possono esercitarsi su un impegnativo e affascinante percorso a 18 beech.
