The municipality of Spormaggiore with the hamlets of Belfort, Fabbrica, Maurina, Meano, Sedriago and Seghe has about 1,200 inhabitants. From the apple orchards of the Val di Non it develops up to the Paganella plateau, at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites. The village of Spormaggiore, 565 m above sea level, overlooks a terrace above the entrance to the Val di Non. It houses a wildlife area and the visitor center "Bear, the Lord of the Woods". You can also consider one of the entrance areas of the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park. To visit in Spormaggiore are the impressive ruins and the well-preserved tower of Castel Belfort. Lovara Cave, in the locality of Fausior, is an important testimony of geological and glacial phenomena. From Spormaggiore, in a few minutes you can reach the Paganella ski area, as well as the starting points of a series of paths that lead to the Brenta Dolomites, on foot or by mountain bike.
