Calozzo: Location and surroundings of this property

The town of Pianello del Lario is located about 10 km north of the town of Menaggio and extends from the slopes of Monte Bregagno to the shores of Lake Como. In the centre of Pianello del Lario there is a spacious bathing beach, several typical restaurants right on the lake, a tennis court, bars, grocery shops, banks and a post office. An attractive three-kilometre-long footpath has recently been completed along the lakefront, which also passes through the neighbouring villages and offers a splendid panorama. The lake offers water sports enthusiasts various possibilities for recreation, while the hinterland is the ideal place for long walks, hikes and bike rides. The provincial capital Como can be reached by car in about 70 minutes (approx. 49 km), the city of Lecco in about one hour (approx. 60 km). The Lake Como shipping company offers convenient year-round connections to other picturesque locations on the lake, such as the famous town of Bellagio. Milan and the airports of Malpensa and Linate can be reached in approximately one hour and 45 minutes by car, the Swiss city of Lugano in one hour (approx. 40 km). For winter sports enthusiasts, it is worth mentioning the relative proximity to the famous ski resorts of St. Moritz (CH), Madesimo, Bormio and Livigno, which can be reached by car in two to three hours, depending on the destination.
