Description
Designed by the architect Giovanni Candi, the Scala Contarini del Bovolo hides stories and legends that make us dream. From its top, 26 meters high, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the city and the firmament. In 1859, the astronomer Ernst Wilhelm Tempel, conducting observations with his telescope from the top of the Scala, discovered comet C/1859 and the Merope nebula. According to another legend, Pietro Contarini built it to be able to go up to his bedroom, located on the top floor of the building, on horseback. Today we become privileged observers of this hidden jewel in the San Marco district, a few meters from the Scala. Immediately struck by the fine finishes, we enter the welcoming living room, where we can enjoy a romantic and very rare view directly on the Scala del Bovolo, sitting on the sofa reading a book. The property is embellished with high reliefs handmade in gold leaf, a magnificent 18th century fireplace and luxurious floors of ancient woods. Then we find the modern kitchen, with access to an intimate common outdoor area, where we imagine ourselves relaxed enjoying a quiet breakfast immersed in a typical Venetian atmosphere. The suggestive double bedroom, where you can relax while admiring the lights of the Scala at sunset, and the bathroom partially covered in Carrara Marble, complete this unique property with a classic heart, but with all the comforts to make it perfect also as an investment, being also sold furnished with custom-made furniture of local artisans and equipped with septic tanks and certificate of habitability. High-performance windows, air conditioning, alarm system and armored door give added value to this beautiful property.
