Description
This property (registered in the official catalogue of Venetian Villas cod. VE380) is a splendid Venetian villa of the eighteenth century, redesigned in elegant classical forms, boasting floors dating back to 1845. The excellently preserved building spreads in the middle of a 2500 sq mt garden, fenced by a perimeter-high laurel hedge. It consists of a square-plan manor house on three floors, abreast a barn with a characteristic portico with beams and paving in vehicle-resilient cobblestones. Mouldings, stone friezes and Venetian architectural features mould all doors and windows. According to the Venetian habit, on the ground floor, an entrance leads: on one side, to a lounge with a fireplace and a kitchen and, on the opposite side, to the dining room and a study. The floor is paved in the warm stone of Nanto, and all doors are framed by stuccoes. On the first floor, named Piano Nobile, there are four bedrooms, a large living room, two bathrooms and a wardrobe. Here, the floor is in Venetian Terrazzo, embellished with splendid inserts. The garret room consists of a single nave enjoying exposed wooden beams of considerable dimensions. The villa comes with furniture, decor and carpets of aristocratic and exclusive elegance.
