The village of nearby Castellabate, for example, was inhabited by Greeks, Romans and Normans, leaving traces of their passage in monuments, churches and archaeological sites. To visit the Archaeological Museum, which exhibits finds from the excavations of the territory, and the Pontifical Basilica of Santa Maria de Gulia, an important place of pilgrimage.
