Halfway between Fornacelle and Arola stands the ancient watchtower that, in visual connection with the coastal ones, served to warn the populations of hillside houses of invasions from the sea. Vico Equense is a very extensive town in the province of Naples:ranging from the various beaches up to 1,444 meters of the Molare del Monte Faito and it includes thirteen fractions. The beaches of Vico Equense are: La Marina di Seiano o d'Aequa, Marina di Vico, Lido Sporting, Scrajo, the beaches of Tordigliano-Chiosse and Capo La Gala. Vico Equense can be reached by train from Naples via the Circumvesuviana (Naples-Sorrento line) where there are two stops ( Vico Equense, Seiano). By car you have to take the A3 Naples-Salerno exit at Castellammare di Stabia and continue on the Sorrento coast state road. From the station of Vico Equense then depart the Circumvesuviana buses that connect all the villages of Vico with the city center.
