Description
Next to carefully restored old manor houses, framed by the cobalt blue sky, lit by the sun that whitens its stone robe wonderfully marked by the time, the Susca family's pomace factory, which has been disused for about 15 years now, is characterized by its large spaces and industrial architecture for the thriving rural economy that, in this place, exudes everywhere. The voyage of discovery of this property begins by going through the large gate, on the wide forecourt with a coverage of 1,500 sq. ft, divided into two imposing buildings dating from different construction periods. The older building is about 1,000 square meters with large spaces, adorned with high vaulted ceilings and special niches on the walls where those small tools, guardians of the memory of an ancient and industrious work handed down from father to son, are still preserved. The second building of about 500 square meters built in more recent times has flat vaults. Here, too, large spaces arranged on two floors, which connect to the old building and where internal stairs lead to the rooftop from which one can admire the panorama and the historic residences present around. In addition to the property about 8000 sqm. of fenced land whose urban destination provides a high index of constructability, interesting therefore for its tourist and residential transformation value, in what is certainly a rich and flourishing territory also for its proximity to very desirable destinations of the Salento.
